Guntersville Alabama is a wonderful place to live, when lynyrd skynyrd created the song "Sweet Home Alabama" They

must have had Guntersville on their mind. Throughout this paper I am going to state facts about Guntersville to prove why it

is the best place to live.

Guntersville Alabama is located in Northern Alabama where it is surrounded by a beautiful lake that covers 67,900

acres of this earth. Guntersville lake is known as the best Bass lake in Alabama. Guntersville is known as a vacation spot

for outdoorsmen, and campers due to its beautiful clean lake. The lake also has the tennesee river running through

it. Guntersville Lake received its name from the town of Guntersville. The town was names by John Gunter, a Scottish settler

and adopted member of the Cherokee tribe, who established Guntersville one year after the American Revolutionary War ended.

Guntersville has many other attractions other than Gunterville lake, it is home to several parks and playgrounds

including the David Crockett Visit Lions Club Park, Tom Jackson Park, Big Spring Creek Small Wild Area, Lake Guntersville

State Park, and Guntersville Municipal Park. Golf lovers can spend their hours at the Stoney Mountain Golf Course and Beach

Mountain Golf and Arcade. Shopping can be enjoyed at Finlay Plaza Shopping Center, South Gate Shopping Center, and Lake

Shopping Center. Some of Guntersvilles strengths are its property taxes, renting, and educated adults. There is also a

public library. Most the weather is warm, like in the 80s. Guntersville has cold winters, beautiful springs, and great

falls. Guntersville has four definite seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall. Every once in a while there is snow, but not

much.

Guntersville sounds beautiful! I would never have guessed that based upon the name. You should keep that in mind when writing about Guntersville and perhaps add something like this:

"Despite its name, the women of Guntersville are not known the world over for their gunts. In fact, Guntersville has nothing to do with gunts. Our women, although Rubenesque, are no more gunty than the typical Alabaman woman. I mean, if that’s your thing, you can find Guntersville women with gunts as big as Bear Bryant’s hat. I’m just sayin’ that we have skinny girls as well. Guntersville actually got its name from…" then you can go into the John Gunter story.

RC Car on a golf course… What if those kids sue?

Posted on June 8th, 2011 by admin

If you havent seen youtube video go ahead… Cant those kids sue for destruction of personal property and call police for assault… Another guy on the video comments says no… but i still dont get it… to me assault would be assault… and breaking my stuff would result in them paying for it. Someone explain…

I haven’t seen the video but I guess some kids were on a golf course with an RC car and some players got nasty.

First – destruction of private property is criminal – not a case of suing but prosecution by the police.

Second – if the players got rough – if you are trespassing the owner of the land has the right to remove you and use reasonable force to prevent damage to his property or protect himself – as has any member of the public.

A player can defend himself but not assault others.

Will the police prosecute? Depends on the evidence – video may be useful – but the course may also prosecute for trespass.

How did Obama manage to lose the support of the Democrat party?

Posted on May 23rd, 2011 by admin

In 20 months, he went from most beloved to most reviled within his own party!

Dems Outraged Over Obama’s Ground Zero Mosque Comments

Democrats were frustrated today with Barack Obama’s radical stance on the Ground Zero Mosque. Obama supports a mosque at Ground Zero along with only 20% of voters. A vast majority of Americans do not want a victory mosque built near the former World Trade buildings.
The Politico reported:

Democrats – at least the ones willing to comment at all — could barely contain their frustration over Obama’s remarks Friday night, saying they would further complicate campaign efforts by candidates struggling in an anti-Democratic year, particularly moderates in conservative-leaning districts who already are 2010’s most vulnerable contenders.

“I would prefer the president be a little more of a politician and a little less of a college professor,” former Rep. Martin Frost (D-Tex.), who once ran the House Democratic campaign arm, wrote in POLITICO’s Arena. “While a defensible position, it will not play well in the parts of the country where Democrats need the most help.”

Obama himself had steered clear of the issue for weeks, with his spokesman Robert Gibbs telling reporters that it was primarily a local issue. But at a Friday White House Iftar dinner, Obama said that while he understands Ground Zero is “hallowed ground,” he told a group of Muslims that he believes they have “the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in the country.”

“And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” he said.

I bet Obama wishes he’d spent more time working on his golf.

Obama is honest and very intelligent. While he will lose the support of some ignorant americans, that believe true mentally healthy muslims are responsible for 9-11 and therefore they shouldn’t be allowed to practice their religion around the area, in a free country such as this one, this cannot be allowed.

The catholic church has been responsible for alot more blood than in 9-11 and it is not quite banned from the most "holy" places of the country.

Obama knows this, the intelligent world, such as most of Europe agree with this, the U.S.A. popular type of person, will not agree with this. Obama is just doing the fair and reasonable thing to do.

Feelings are one thing. The law is another. If a president breaks the law to punish some, that’s a dictatorship.

How and how much to rent a golf cart for a wedding?

Posted on April 11th, 2011 by admin

I am getting married and it is going to be a pretty big event. The venue is going to be a clearing out on some property in the woods. It would be nice to have a golf cart to transport older folks from the parking area to the ceremony and reception. Basically my question is: 1. Would a golf course rent you a golf cart for a day if it isnt going to be used on their course? 2. How much do you think this would cost?

no a golf course is not likely to be willing to rent you a golf cart, however, golf carts are readily available in most cities and towns for rent through rental equipment companies or even through companies which sell golf carts. many people use them for event transportation so you should be able to do a little google searching in your area to find a place where you can rent them. they are available in both electric and gas opertated one. the electric ones will run all day long if they have been fully charged so you don’t have to worry about fuel costs or smells.

as for the cost, that depends on where you live and what type of cart you rent, but here in virginia where i live, the run about 85 dollars per day.

My father died with no will, what am I entitled to?

Posted on March 23rd, 2011 by admin

My father passed away and he had no will. He ws divorced from my mother and was married again. She is not cooperating with me at all. They did not own a home, but had joint bank accounts and I believe he had a life insurance policy from his place of employment that was given to him when he retired. And the wife is not being cooperative about personal belongings like pictures, trinkets, golf clubs (which she does not use) and old stuff that my father and I used to buy (we like to think we were ‘american pickers’ – when he was still alive he would pass things along to me and I would sell them on ebay) My dad always talked of me getting this and that, I know he wanted me to have things but I guess he never filled out a will. And here is a real kicker, the wife got the honors of the flag from the military funeral – now everyone tells me that the oldest son is supposed to receive the flag. It has just been terrible – my father is gone and all I got was a prayer card and a bullet shell (from the funeral) I have heard of probate but it sounds like that is more for property like a house or something. Is there any thing I can do about bank accounts, personal belongings? We live in NY – I know sometimes the state has different guide lines.

All assets with no beneficiary named and personal belongings goes to your father’s estate and can be fought over in court. Some assets such as investments he owned will automatically go to the surviving spouse, which is the law. Some assets may have a beneficiary and the beneficiary will get those assets.

If you want to consult with an attorney, I have a friend who sells prepaid legal across the United States. Prepaid Legal cost about $20/month and you have unlimited consultations. If you need to be represented in court, you get 25% discount off the legal firm’s hourly rate. Its great to have for any legal problems you may have. I personally use it to fight traffic violations and most of the time I don’t have to be in court. My lawyer takes care of it for me. Other time I have used it to return a defective product when the store refuse to take it back and give me my refund. Oh yeah, you get a free will done for you. If you want his contact information, send me a message by going to my Yahoo Answers profile.

Are golf carts on private property supposed to stop for public school buses?

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by admin

I manage a private apartment community with private roads. The public schools buses come on our property to pick-up and drop off kids. Our maintenance staff travels the property on golf carts. Are the golf carts on private property under the same law as a car would be as far as stopping for school buses, etc.?

In the State of Florida, If you as the private property owner have allowed a
county school bus to enter your domain to pick up and discard students
at pick up and exit points, All traffic must adhear to the state compliance
of the motor vehicle act regarding school busses. Failure to do so, and
should subsequent injury befall a child. You are going to be dealt with in
a manner you never thought possible. If one of my Deputies was to witness
failure to stop, Your golf cart rider would be subject to fine and penalty.

Posted on March 5th, 2011 by admin

we have 2 residential building lots in a water/golf community. Can we deduct the HOA fees that we pay? we do not use any of the amenities there. Thank you

I guess you are asking if you can deduct it from your reportable income to the IRS.

If it is rental property I bet you can. If it is your personal property I bet you can’t.
