How do you use the Distributive Property (in this specific question- see below)?

Posted on January 4th, 2010 by admin

Here is the question: Tiger Woods obtained an average score of 68 during the 4 rounds of golf at the PGA Championship in 2007. Use the Distributive Property to mentally calculate his total score for the 4 rounds of golf.
I know that the Distributive Property is a(b+c)= ab + ac, but I don’t know how it applies to this question; please explain how to do this problem and don’t just give me the answer.

Thanks!

I think it just want you to distribute his score of 68 to each golf round.
68(1+1+1+1)=68+68+68+68= 272.
Seems retarded, but I think that’s what its asking for.
HAVE AN AAAAHHHHMAZING DAY!!!!!!!
(the Colts won! how could you not!!) :D
