Okay for Private Special Event EMT Standby to have golf cart with lights/sirens?

Posted on May 18th, 2012 by admin

Is it "legal" since on private or regulated property, for Private EMS companies that do standby service at special events to have golf carts that have medical equipment to also have red lights and/or siren for use at the events? (not on the roads obviously) to move the crowds?
(California)

Yes. That’s actually classified as a type IV ambulance. It’s used to pick up people at a densely populated event and transport them to a waiting ambulance.

For example, I work EMS in Kansas. We have a type iv ambulance we use at the Kansas State Fairgrounds when we have to respond to an area of the grounds where we cannot maneuver a full-sized ambulance into.

Is it legal to shoot a duck on my property?

Posted on January 31st, 2012 by admin

There’s a golf couse behind my house with a pond that ducks live in. Occasionally the ducks will wander into my back garden. Once they’re in my garden is it legal for me to shoot them with an air rifle or set a trap for them? I did it the other day but my mate reckons I’ve broken the law. I just fucking love eating duck but it’s just so dam expensive to buy.

It has to be duck season and you have to have a hunting license, still it might be illegal because your using a firearm in a public place. You did say your back yard is by a golf course, and I suspect you have neighbors.

You would need to check about getting special permission.

Legal for minor (16-17 years old) to operate a golf cart on Church private property?

Posted on November 14th, 2011 by admin

Can a minor operate a 6 passenger golf cart on private property without a drivers license. I have a few 16 and 17 year olds without a license that are operating my golf carts and I am not sure if there are any CA Laws that say that it is illegal. They are only operated on private property. Thanks

Do you/they have permission from the church to use the property? If not, no, you can’t legally do that.

You mention golf garts (plural); are you in the cart business? If so, your business liability insurance would cover, but again, without the church’s permission, you could be in trouble.

What can I do, my friend gave away my personal property?

Posted on August 20th, 2011 by admin

2 1/2 years ago I asked my friend if I could keep my golf clubs in his garage, he said "absolutely, no problem". I asked him last week if I could come by and pick up my clubs as I had an opportunity to play and I wanted to get them out of his space. He replied three days later telling me that I was a year too late, that " Value Village became the benefactor of the clubs". He basically has admitted to taking my clubs out of his garage and donating them without my knowledge or consent. what are my options here?

I don’t think there is much that you can do. I do think it was a crappy thing for him to do. He should of at least gave you a warning that he was going to donate them if you did not pick them up.

Can I deduct HOA fees on a piece of property in a community?

Posted on March 5th, 2011 by admin

we have 2 residential building lots in a water/golf community. Can we deduct the HOA fees that we pay? we do not use any of the amenities there. Thank you

I guess you are asking if you can deduct it from your reportable income to the IRS.

If it is rental property I bet you can. If it is your personal property I bet you can’t.

I want to get a state ID card in FL for golf purposes and live in NY?

Posted on October 20th, 2010 by admin

I own property in FL, but live and have a DL in NY. Is it possible for me to have a NY DL and live in NY and have a FL state ID card?

No, since you have a driver’s license, you can’t get a state ID. New federal law doesn’t allow the same person to obtain multiple IDs. And your driver’s license counts as ID.

What are Michigan’s laws on riding dirt bikes or atvs on private property with out permission?

Posted on October 18th, 2010 by admin

I was wondering what offense i would get a ticket or even my dirt bike impounded on for riding on an aboundend golf coarse.

If you are caught on private property and your bikes are ORV tagged more then likely you will just get a ticket or verbal warning. If your bikes are not tagged chances are good they will get impounded or if your lucky you will get a hefty fine for trespassing and for riding the bikes illegally. You may find this site helpful.

any scooter with an engine under 50cc is considered a bicycle, not a motor vehicle.
