I am planning a Feb. 2013 trip to Maui. Should I stay at Wailea Beach Marriott or Makena Beach/Golf Resort?

Posted on January 12th, 2012 by admin

Due to my travel budget and reward point credits, these are the only two properties I am considering. Has anyone been to either of these resorts specifically in February, which I understand is the winter/rainy season? How was the weather on this part of the island? How are the winds? How are the beaches at each property? How are the pools (heated or not, warm or cold)? We will have 2 adults and 2 teenagers in one room–how are the rooms?

Thanks for any advice as I make this big decision!

Hey, welcome to Hawaii, ok? You know, Marie the professional hea, and she nail it down good, I agree with her, not go to Makena less you wanna play lotta golf, ok? Peace and aloha to you!

Are golf carts on private property supposed to stop for public school buses?

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by admin

I manage a private apartment community with private roads. The public schools buses come on our property to pick-up and drop off kids. Our maintenance staff travels the property on golf carts. Are the golf carts on private property under the same law as a car would be as far as stopping for school buses, etc.?

In the State of Florida, If you as the private property owner have allowed a
county school bus to enter your domain to pick up and discard students
at pick up and exit points, All traffic must adhear to the state compliance
of the motor vehicle act regarding school busses. Failure to do so, and
should subsequent injury befall a child. You are going to be dealt with in
a manner you never thought possible. If one of my Deputies was to witness
failure to stop, Your golf cart rider would be subject to fine and penalty.

Which ball has the greatest elasticity, a golf ball or a foam ball?

and what properties cause the ball to be more elastic

Try hitting a foam ball 300 yds. Foam absorbs, a golf ball rebounds.

Net vs Fabric. I’m trying to make an indoor golf net. Why does everyone use a net instead of fabric?

Posted on October 25th, 2010 by admin

Are the strength properties drastically different? Or is it just the UV protection that nets are rated for? If I’m looking for a strong fabric that will compare to net strengths, is there a suggestion?

You will end up spending more to make one than if you just buy one. I looked into doing the same thing. If you do make one cheaper it will likely not hold up to repeated practice. Try ebay for some cheap options.

Where can I go to find the strength properties of different fabrics?

Posted on October 23rd, 2010 by admin

I’m looking to use a fabric material to hit golf balls into, but I’d like to use fabric such as polyester or Cotton instead of a net. This will be for indoor use. Where can I go to find out information like "breaking strength" for different kinds of fabrics?

You’re looking for "tensile strength". Below is a link that helps to answer how to measure that.

Spanish Property Bureau S.L.

Posted on June 15th, 2010 by admin

http://www.spanishpropertybureau.com
We believe that buying a home in the Spanish sun should be an enjoyable experience. For many purchasers, the buying process takes place later in life when stress and complications are unwelcome. We do all we can to make the process as simple as possible. We also recognise that buying a home in the sun is a big step for most people. The decision process can sometimes take a little time. We do not just sell a home; we prefer to show our clients a range of properties that suit their requirements and let them decide which one is right for them.

We understand that choosing a home should be a personal experience. We take our clients to see properties on an individual basis, on a tailored inspection visit that suits them. We also offer a complete after sales service. We will help with any little problems you may face during your first 3 months in Spain – whether it relates to your new home, or just helping you to settle in to the Spanish way of life. We do not add a commission to the price of a home. You pay the builders price for the property, as if you were buying direct. The builder or developer pays our fees. All of the homes on our website are honestly presented. Where possible we use our own pictures of a home and avoid the use of artist’s impressions, which can sometimes be misleading. We simply try and find the best deal for you. This includes legal services, bank accounts, mortgages, money transfers, furniture suppliers, satellite TV installers, insurances, etc. We are a family company who trades on our reputation. Many of our clients come to us via a personal referral. We are a fully registered Spanish company and are authorized agents for most of the major developers in the region between Benidorm and Murcia. We make sure that all the properties for sale on our books are legal and have all the correct paperwork and all builders will provide bank guaranties for any deposits paid by purchasers. We are determined to maintain the highest standards in order to offer the best service available.
