agronomy qiestions for golf?

Why do golf courses use hybrid bermuda grass and what properties do they have? Specifically tif dwarf and 419 bermuda.

What are some types of grasses used on golf course greens and Why are they used. What geographic area?

What are some types of grasses used in certain areas and what are the risks of using the wrong grass in the wrong area?

Lastly, What are the key elements needed for healthy turf?

Thanks. I need this for work. I know shit about grass.

Im not too into the course grass side of things when it comes to golf but I can do my best to help here.

The two most common types of grass for greens is bermuda and bent.

Bentgrass is usually used on greens that have to withstand cooler temps (whether year round or durring winter) The midwest and northern courses usually have this for greens.

Bermuda is usually on the southern courses where heat is a objective year round, it can(and always is) be mown very short and these greens are always fast and tough to read. I personally hate bermuda greens, but thats just cuz im a midwest guy. Poa anna greens also thrive in warmer weather and these greens suck too imo.

What do you think of my campaign for Mayor?

I’m running for Mayor and I advocate much lower taxes
Privatization of parks, pools and golf courses
No property tax
And of course much lowered government spending
I don’t live in huge city so I have a fairly good chance of being elected if I play my cards right.
You pay money to go to the park when you pay taxes. You would pay to get in. It wouldn’t be a large fee.

I like it. Tax cuts will help stimulate the economy and make people happy.

What could we use to mark trees for our target disc golf course that people won’t be able to remove easily?

We have a home made disc golf course in a private park, and we mark the trees with clear duct tape, because we don’t want to damage property with spray paint or anything like that. The problem is that punk kids rip off the tape and leave it on the ground. Any ideas for something we could use that would be harder to rip off? We want it to be possible to get off because people take grad photos and stuff down there, but tough enough that the kids will be less likely to bother with it

If you have a decent drill with which you could screw in a few long anchors, you could quite easily attach your own targets in a myriad of different ways. The kids will be less inclined to bother attempting to remove them when they find they need a power tool to do so, and, if you need to remove them yourself, the screw holes you would put in the tree would be too narrow either to damage the tree or to be seen by any casual observer. I know it’s not the most convenient of suggestions, but hey, if you can use my idea, I’m happy to try to help.
